London general management for Japanese productions.

At the 2026 K-Musical International Market in Seoul we presented on the forum stage alongside Japan’s HoriPro and Nelke Planning, and we first met Japan’s SOIL producer cohort when they visited London. Our sold-out Asian showcase work in London is the model we offer Japanese producers: local structure, local contracts, local audiences, your show.

Can you take our production to London?

Yes. There are four realistic routes: an industry showcase (including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe), a limited Off West End season, a co-production with a UK partner, or English-language development towards a full run. The right route depends on the piece, the rights and the budget; that is what a feasibility conversation settles.

What exactly would you handle?

Everything on the UK side: budgets, contracts, venue negotiation, visas and work permits, UK Theatre Tax Relief (subject to eligibility, claimed through the qualifying UK production company we run), insurance, casting and crewing logistics, marketing and PR coordination, box office settlement and weekly reporting back to Tokyo.

Do you know the Japanese theatre sector?

Yes. We produce at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe every year, the route most Japanese companies take into the UK, we follow the SOIL programme and the JPASN network, and we have met producers including HoriPro and Nelke Planning at the international markets where Japanese work travels.

What does the first stage cost?

The first conversation costs nothing. If you want to go further, we quote a fixed fee for a written UK feasibility review covering route, venues, indicative budget and timeline, before you commit to anything larger.

How long does it take?

As a rule of thumb: an industry showcase can be staged within three to six months of the decision; a limited season typically needs nine to twelve months; a full commercial run, twelve to eighteen. Rights and venue availability set the pace.

Can you advise before we commit to producing?

Yes, and we prefer it that way. Feasibility first, spending later; it is cheaper to change the plan on paper than in a theatre.

How do we work across time zones and languages?

We schedule calls in the Japanese afternoon, reply on LINE within one working day, and welcome materials in Japanese or English; we arrange translation where needed.

What should we send you first?

A script, score or capture of the production, the rights position, any budget that exists, and your target dates. A one-page synopsis is enough to start the conversation.

Do you invest in productions?

Occasionally, and never as a condition of working together. Our core role is UK delivery; where a project is right we have invested alongside partners, as on Unfortunate and Fangirls. Ask us on the call.
